Support Palestinian children: ‘The Boy and the Wall’ charity picture book now available
“The wonderful work was brought to my attention during my period as Children’s Poet Laureate for Wales. I was in contact with the centre and aware of the inspiring projects they undertook. Sharing this children’s story not only supports the humanitarian fundraising effort but also shares a message of hope from children living through displacement and conflict.” – Menna Elfyn, President of Wales PEN Cymru
A new children’s picture book, The Boy and the Wall, created by Palestinian refugees from the Aida Refugee Camp in Bethlehem, has been released to raise emergency funds for SOS Children’s Village Palestine. Translated into Welsh alongside its original Arabic and English, the book combines powerful storytelling and collage artwork created by the youth of the Lajee Centre.
All profits from sales will go directly to support vulnerable children and families in Palestine, providing emergency care, mental health support, and financial assistance.
